課程概述

Course Description
The course aims at giving students a general picture of translation theories and gender discussed and debated in translation studies. It lays the emphasis on highlighting representation of female awareness especially appeared in fictions so as to draw students’ attention to this specific issue in each translation activity.
 

課程目標
Course Objectives
In this course, students are going to read relevant literature concerning different aspects in translation and gender for later discussion of translation cases either provided by the instructor or students themselves. For each week, we will explore each issue at the first hour and give and/or discuss short and long practices in translation at the second and third hour. Besides translation assignments, they need to work together to present a project on issues discussed in the semester with proper translation cases at the end of the semester.
